echium wildpretii ssp trichosiphon
The pink viper's buglosses can be seen on Roque de Los Muchachos from May to June. To form its impressive inflorescence, the "tajinaste rosado" needs 3-5 years. By the way, Palmerian tajinaste have a greater genetic diversity than their red relative on Tenerife. Therefore, it is proposed to recognise the Palmerian tajinaste (previously Echium wildpretii ssp. trichosiphon) as a separate species under the name Echium perezii Sprague.
