Route of the volcanoes

The volcano route on the GR 131 is one of the best-known but most demanding hiking tours on La Palma – from the Refugio del Pilar it goes over the volcanic chain "Cumbre Vieja" to the village "Los Canarios" in Fuencaliente. On the ridge you can look over both sides of the island and also see the neighbouring islands of Tenerife and La Gomera to the east and El Hierro to the west.
