Laurel forest

The evergreen laurel forest is nourished by the rainfall of the trade wind clouds, numerous springs and the water that drips from the rock faces in winter. The giant ferns, rare wildflowers, mosses and thick lianas hanging from the trees make the laurisilva of Los Tilos resemble a jungle.
